Divisions & Standards

The 2017 WODGODZ competition will allow athletes of all abilities a chance to compete in one of ten (10) MALE/FEMALE individual divisions, and one (1) Coed Team of Four division. Each individual division will consist of a maximum of 30 athletes, and there will be a maximum of 20 teams:

  • INDIVIDUAL DIVISIONS:
    • PRO MALE/FEMALE
    • RX MALE/FEMALE
    • MASTERS 35-44 MALE/FEMALE
    • MASTERS 45+ MALE/FEMALE
    • SCALED MALE/FEMALE
  • TEAM DIVISION:
    • COED TEAM OF FOUR (2 male/2 female)

Male and Female athletes may participate in the Pro Division in one of two ways:

  1. Special invitation of a select few by event organizers.
  2. Earn one of the remaining positions via Online Qualifier AND be capable of performing the following movements in a variety of WOD combinations.

Male and Female athletes may participate in the RX Division by earning a position via Online Qualifier AND should be capable of performing the following movements in a variety of WOD combinations.

  • 275/205# Deadlift
  • 20/14# Wall balls
  • 80/60# Dead balls

  • 20′ Handstand walks, 5′ increments
  • Double unders
  • Burpee Box Jump Overs 24/20″

We know the abilities of modern “Masters” athletes in their 30s and early 40s, and we plan to challenge you. The 30 Male and 30 Female athletes between the ages of 35-44 will compete in very similar movements that are more challenging than the Scaled Division, but a little lighter and easier on the the joints than the Professional and RX divisions. If you are thinking about participating in this still challenging division, you should be capable of performing the following movements in a variety of WOD combinations.

Just because you are 45 or over, don’t expect us to give you quarter at WODGODZ. Though ranked separately, the 30 Male and 30 Female athletes age 45 and up will face the same WODs as the first Masters division, and the same high expectations. Though some of you may be grandfathers and grandmothers, this is not your “grandpa’s” division.

If you are thinking about participating in this division, you should be capable of performing the following movements in a variety of WOD combinations.

30 Male and 30 Female athletes may participate in the Scaled Division by registering early enough to capture one of the 30 available positions in each male/female category. All you need to bring to compete here is a desire to have fun and give it your all! Expect the following movements in a variety of WOD combinations.

This division will be a blast for you and three of your “RX” friends! Two males and two females per team will be required for this division, and we promise to make it challenging. In the spirit of cooperation displayed by a good Team, not all members must be able to perform all movements proficiently; however, we do plan on making individual weaknesses a little hard to hide.
